Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about OmniScores.

Do I need to install anything?
No. OmniScores is entirely browser-based. You score from the control panel in any browser, and the overlay is a browser source URL you paste into your streaming software.
Does the overlay update in real time?
Yes. Score changes appear on the overlay within a fraction of a second via a persistent live connection — no manual refresh needed.
Can I use the control panel on my phone?
Yes. The control panel is fully responsive. Open it on any device — phone, tablet, laptop — and it stays in sync with the overlay automatically.
What streaming software is supported?
OmniScores works with any app that supports browser sources, including OBS Studio, Streamlabs, PRISM Live Studio, vMix, and XSplit.
Can I customise team colours?
Yes — team colour pickers are available in the control panel. In Pro Mode the chosen colour tints the overlay bar for that team's side.
Can two people control the same board?
Yes. Anyone with the control panel link can update scores. This is useful when a statistician updates scores while the producer manages the stream.
Is the overlay transparent?
Yes. The overlay page has a transparent background. Make sure you enable "transparent background" (or equivalent) in your streaming app's browser source settings.
What happens if I lose internet during a stream?
The overlay will hold on the last received score and attempt to reconnect automatically. Once reconnected, it will sync to the current score.
Can I reset the score to zero mid-game?
Yes. The "Reset all" button in the control panel zeroes out the score (and any related stats). You can also adjust scores with the − button.
Is my data private?
Boards are only accessible via your unique overlay and control panel URLs. We don't publish or index boards publicly.
